Kunstfest 2025

Dear people of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church,

It was so good to experience Kunstfest with many of you last weekend. What a fun experience!  New Harmony

truly came alive with the whole community simply buzzing with activity.  I was struck by how the people of

St. Stephen’s worked so well together to make the event successful, not only in sales, but in being visible and

interacting with the community.  Our bells have not gotten that much exercise in quite some time!  Many

children took turns ringing the bells throughout the days of the festival, with adult supervision and assistance.

It was an experience I won’t soon forget. It is such a delight and honor to accompany you in this time and place. Even in the midst of what feel like chaotic times in this country, it is good to find a way to get together for a unified purpose to celebrate the history of New Harmony and its people and communities. As Molly said

during my brief children’s sermon: “A community is a place where people get together and find peace.” May it be so.                                ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
